IRIS USA Breaks Ground on Fourth U.S. Manufacturing Facility

IRIS USA, a manufacturer and distributor of injection-molded plastic products, held a groundbreaking ceremony for its fourth U.S. manufacturing and distribution facility to be located in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania. The new facility will reinforce production for the company’s supply system and allow for a more efficient e-commerce distribution system.

IRIS USA selected top-ranked engineering, architecture and construction firm Gray Construction to design and build its new 500,000 s.f. facility.

 

“We’re excited to partner with IRIS USA on the company’s fourth U.S. facility,” said Stephen Gray, president and CEO of Gray Construction. “This project will play a significant role in increasing the company’s supply chain as well as the local economy.”

 

IRIS USA, a subsidiary of IRIS Ohyama, also has plants in Surprise, Arizona; Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Mesquite, Texas. The new facility will additionally serve as a distribution center for products such as home appliances and simple furniture pieces.

 

Situated on 30 acres of land, IRIS USA’s new facility is expected to be complete in 2020 and create nearly 100 jobs for the region.
