Gulfstream Selects Gray to Design-Build New Paint Manufacturing Facility

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation recently announced it is bringing a new state-of-the-art paint manufacturing facility to Georgia. The company selected Gray to design and build the 72,562 s.f. hangar that will be located near Gulfstream’s current maintenance building on the property of the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation recently announced it is bringing a new state-of-the-art paint manufacturing facility to Georgia. The company selected Gray to design and build the 72,562 s.f. hangar that will be located near Gulfstream’s current maintenance building on the property of the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.

The new paint facility is expected to be “one of the most advanced high-tech paint hangars ever built.” It will also create some 100 jobs for the area.

The project is scheduled to be complete by the summer of 2015.

Gray Construction, a nationally ranked engineering, architecture and construction firm, has over 54 years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, distribution, hospitality and retail facility construction. Currently, Gray has several large projects that are underway or recently completed including: a Michelin Earthmover tire manufacturing plant in Anderson, S.C.; a Caterpillar Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, GaSiemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, N.C.; a Roxul, Inc. manufacturing facility in Byhalia, Miss.; and a manufacturing plant for ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, S.C.
