The 826,300 s.f. heavy manufacturing facility is Caterpillar’s global source for small track-type tractors and mini hydraulic excavators. This high-tech facility uses axels produced at Caterpillar’s Winston-Salem facility, another Gray project, to produce these vehicles.
The company manufactures completed machines for customers in North and South American and also exports partially assembled mini excavator base units to a facility in Europe for final production, which improves delivery time for European customers.
