On October 17, 2013, the Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Heartland region awarded first place honors to Gray for its external newsletter, the GrayWay. The award was presented at the annual Heartland Regional Pinnacle Awards held in Columbus, Ohio.

The GrayWay is published six times a year to more than 12,000 subscribers all over the world. The publication is unique since it serves as a resource for the business and industry sectors by providing relevant news, issues and information, differentiating it from other corporate newsletters.

According to SMPS judges, the level of excellence put into the photos, graphics and writing deserved recognition in the industry.  The judges also acknowledged Gray’s metrics system calling it “among the best they’ve seen.”

Incidentally, this marks the third marketing win for the GrayWay this year as Gray took home the first place award at the National SMPS Awards Gala held in August as well as a Gold ADDY® at the Lexington, Ky. ADDY® Awards Gala held in February.

The Pinnacle Awards at the Heartland Regional Conference (HRC) began back in 2010 and identify companies that distinguish themselves in marketing and communications. The Heartland region represents nine different chapters across seven states and is among the largest regional conferences in the SMPS organization. Award entries were submitted from Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Wisconsin as well as from outside the Heartland region and from non-SMPS entities.
