Gray Highlighted in ENR for Successful Business Strategies

Engineering News-Record (ENR) featured Gray Construction and its strategy for success during difficult economic times. The article noted how Gray stayed true to its core markets and values and redoubled its marketing efforts. As investment in the manufacturing market grew, Gray eventually saw an upswing in manufacturing plant construction, securing numerous projects across the U.S. Gray moved up 77 places to No. 105 on the 2012 Top 400 Contractor Ranking by ENR. Engineering News-Record, a McGraw-Hill Publication, is the gold standard authority for the construction industry.
The nationally ranked engineering, design and construction firm currently has several large projects, mostly located across the South, that are underway or recently completed. These include eight projects for Volkswagen at the Chattanooga, Tenn. campus; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, N.C.; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, Ga.; a Siemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, N.C.; a Whirlpool plant in Cleveland, Tenn.; and multiple projects for Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama.
