Growing Together: Q&A with Project Manager Jeff Rehm
The Gray family is one that is constantly growing and in recent years has seen exponential increase in size. With all of that growth, it seems the natural result would be for parts of the family to separate or grow in their own direction, but as Jeff Rehm, project manager at InLine Engineers, a Gray company tells us, it’s actually been the opposite when it comes to Gray.
What’s the most valuable professional advice you’ve ever been given?
“Get out of your comfort zone, don’t be afraid to try new things, and always ask questions.”
What’s your favorite part about being a member of the InLine Engineers, a Gray company?
“The unique project opportunities and the family atmosphere. There are ever-changing project needs that keep things interesting. Yet, InLine has been able to maintain a small company feel that fosters a culture of openness and collaboration.”
Since your time at InLine, how has the company changed?
“InLine has evolved over the last six years. Our team has grown significantly in size – our Atlanta office is preparing to move into a larger office space for the second time since I have been with the company. We joined the Gray Inc. family in 2018, which has allowed us to expand our presence in the food and beverage market and better serve our customers.”
Since joining the Gray family in 2018, how have you seen positive growth?
“Throughout my time with InLine, we have had relationships with many leading food and beverage companies. Since joining Gray in 2018, we have been able to expand on those existing relationships and have been afforded exciting new project opportunities. Through collaboration with the other companies within the Gray family of brands, I have had the opportunity to learn from their areas of expertise and execute larger turn-key projects together.”
In one word, how would you describe InLine?
“I’ll bend the rules and use a hyphenated word: Fast-Paced”
What’s your fondest memory since being part of InLine?
“I had the opportunity to spend about a month in Vietnam as part of project for a core customer. I was part of a team that brought clean drinking water to remote towns in Vietnam by installing solar powered water purification systems. It was an incredibly rewarding experience and allowed me to travel and experience different cultures.”
