Gray Partners with Georgia-Pacific on Gypsum Production Facility in Texas

Having worked together on three projects, Georgia-Pacific again selected Gray to provide design-build services on its 700,000 s.f. project. The project is being executed out of Gray’s Southeast office located in Birmingham, AL.

“We’ve built a strong relationship with Georgia-Pacific over the past several years,” says Drew Romans, regional manager of Gray’s Southeast office. “We could not be happier to be partnering on their new Texas facility as they advance their initiatives in the gypsum market.”

Georgia-Pacific’s new operation will employ approximately 120 individuals. At peak construction, over 400 workers are estimated to be on site.

The project is expected to be complete in 2022. Together, both operations for Georgia-Pacific will be capable of supplying customers and distribution partners with more than one billion s.f. of gypsum products each year.
