Gray Completes Service Center for Gulfstream & Facility Expansion for Jet Aviation

Gray, a fully integrated service provider specializing in engineering, design, and construction, is pleased to have completed a service center for leading business jet manufacturer Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and a facility expansion for top business aviation services provider Jet Aviation. The nearly 161,000 s.f. facility was designed and built in 12 months at the Palm Beach International Airport in Florida.

“We are pleased to have completed this tremendous project,” says Brian Jones, president and CEO of Gray. “This project posed some unique challenges due to the airport location, but through our strong collaboration with Gulfstream and Jet Aviation, the end result is a state-of-the-art project.”

The facility replaces a smaller Gulfstream operation on the south side of the airport and includes offices, back shops, and a 73,314 s.f. maintenance hangar for the company that can accommodate up to seven Gulfstream G650ER or G650 aircraft. The project also expands Jet Aviation’s existing Palm Beach FBO facility with the addition of an all-new 42,000 s.f. hangar adjacent to Gulfstream’s, as well as a new 11,270 s.f. shared customer terminal.

“We are excited to open the state-of-the-art facility that will offer world-class service to a greater number of Gulfstream aircraft simultaneously,” says Derek Zimmerman, president of Gulfstream Customer Support. “The Palm Beach service center is well-positioned to support customers in domestic and international markets, including South America.”

“These facilities are designed and equipped to meet the business-aviation needs of our global base,” states David Best, SVP Regional Operations at Jet Aviation.

For Gulfstream, the addition enhances the Palm Beach customer and employee experience while allowing the company to maintain the world-class service for which it is known. For Jet Aviation, it enables the company to provide new levels of service to its respective customers.
