This confidential customer is a Japanese manufacturer of super-pure hydrogen peroxide and ammonium hydroxide—chemicals that are vital to the manufacture of the semiconductors that power advanced technologies such as smartphones, computers, vehicle systems, and more.
The company’s U.S. subsidiary has collaborated with Gray on more than 10 projects across the country. For its newest project, they selected Gray to design and build a 54,000 s.f. production facility for super-pure chemicals and gases.

Gray’s scope includes pure water and wastewater systems, process piping designed for high-purity chemicals, erection of the facility’s storage tanks, and a cleanroom to ensure a sterile and pristine environment for production. In addition to design-build delivery, Gray’s self-perform arm will provide fabrication and erection of the facility’s structural steel.
When completed in 2026, the plant will supply semiconductor manufacturers as domestic production ramps up for this critical industry.
