Hi-Tech Color has partnered with Gray Construction to engineer, design and build its new 37,500 s.f. facility. The project will require extensive engineering and design to replicate the company’s existing production process in Japan.
“It’s exciting to break ground with Hi-Tech Color on its new Maryland facility,” said Stephen Gray, president and CEO of Gray Construction. “Having worked with Japan-based customers for many years, we count it an honor to partner on this project that will double their production for North America.”
The groundbreaking ceremony included an official turning of dirt and special remarks from Mr. Yoshio Motokawa, president of Hi-Tech Color and Mr. Morihiro Kamo of Dainichiseika Color and Chemicals Mfg Co. Guests consisted of local government officials, partners and friends.
The new facility will allow Hi-Tech Color to reduce its lead time for products to customers and reduce its reliance on imported goods. The project is expected to be complete by the summer of 2018.
