Gray Construction’s Tyler Cundiff Recognized as Young Construction Engineer of the Year

Tyler Cundiff, vice president of business development in Gray Construction’s Food & Beverage Group, was honored Saturday with the Construction Management Founders Society’s Young Construction Engineer of the Year Award at a reception held by the University of Kentucky’s College of Engineering.

“As the years have passed, the award has become increasingly competitive, and this year was no different. An extremely talented pool of accomplished engineers were considered and certainly Mr. Tyler Cundiff fits that description. The selection committee is comprised of executives and upper management for many local and national construction firms, and Tyler’s selection was quick and unanimous. The faculty and staff at UK’s Department of Civil Engineering are pleased to acknowledge another outstanding graduate employed by Gray Construction at the fall Awards Banquet.” “The Young Construction Engineer of the Year Award was established in 1984 to recognize outstanding early career achievement in construction from UK Civil Engineering graduates,” said Dr. Gabe Dadi, assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of Kentucky. The University’s Department of Civil Engineering annually spotlights outstanding career achievements in construction, together with the Construction Management Founders Society.
