Gray Construction’s Focus on Safety Spotlighted at the Associated General Contractors of America's National Convention

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) has put Gray Construction’s focus on safety front and center at its 99th annual convention in New Orleans. As part of AGC’s celebration of 100 years in construction, it is showcasing a harness and lanyard used by a Gray team member to save his life.

“While thankful for the opportunity to highlight Gray’s commitment to safety, we do not take it lightly,” said Jim Grant, vice president of safety & field operations. “Safety reaches more than just the craft worker, it impacts the families of those workers, wives, husbands and their children.”

“For this reason, Gray’s team members have an ongoing dedication, and we will continue to advance our program to ensure team members go home safely each day to their families.”

At Gray, our No. 1 core value is: We put safety and quality of life first. We strive to build our safety program beyond what is required by OSHA.

AGC’s convention ran February 26-28. The organization will also include the harness and lanyard at its centennial celebration taking place October 1, 2018 in Washington, D.C.
