MöllerTech Holds Grand Opening for New Plastic Injection Molding Facility in Alabama
German automotive supplier MöllerTech proudly held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open its new facility in Woodstock, Alabama. The 151,313 s.f. facility produces interior parts for automakers such as Mercedes-Benz.

“This new state-of-the-art plant has been a tremendous effort for everyone involved,” said Gunther Schmidt, CEO of MöllerGroup, MöllerTech’s parent company.
“We just opened this building, and we plan to be here for many, many years to come,” added Steve Jordan, president of MöllerTech USA LLC.
MöllerTech selected Gray Construction to design and build its advanced manufacturing facility, which will serve as a flagship U.S. operation for the company. Located just six miles from the Vance, Ala., campus for Mercedes-Benz, another Gray customer, the facility will specifically manufacture parts for Mercedes-Benz’s next-generation SUVs.
“It’s been an exciting journey to partner with MöllerTech on the company’s new manufacturing facility,” said Stephen Gray, president and CEO of Gray Construction. “The company is making a significant impact in both the state of Alabama and the auto industry, and Gray is proud to have been part of this great project.”
The plant currently employs some 50 people but expects to have 222 team members once it reaches full capacity in 2019.
