Meet Taylor! A Senior Project Engineer at InLine .
Taylor started with InLine Engineers, a Gray Company, in May of 2010. Over the course of the last thirteen years Taylor has worked on a broad range of projects in a variety of roles. He started with design and construction management work and over time, he began taking on more complex engineering and project management activities for a wide array of food and beverage manufacturers. Some of the scopes of work include infrastructure upgrades, process engineering, and packaging engineering.
When asked what he enjoys most about his work, he said “I enjoy seeing and learning about a mix of different food manufacturing facilities and unit operations. As I experience these new processes, it feels good knowing I can help assess a problem, create solution options, and work collaboratively with customers to satisfy their needs. It is always nice to receive a call from a customer asking for help on something when they had a choice to call someone else, but they call you instead.”
One of Taylor’s most memorable and rewarding project experiences was a recent pork processing facility greenfield expansion project with Clemens Food Group. InLine delivered end-to-end process design and engineering services for the facility. Taylor states, “It was an interesting project and the largest project at InLine that I had ever worked on.” Taylor’s involvement was from preliminary concept through installation and start-up. The project was a huge success and was named Food Engineering Plant of the Year 2023. Taylor went on to talk about how seeing your designs become reality is a very satisfying experience, “Being a part of the award-winning project was icing on the cake for the entire Gray and InLine Project Teams.”
