Nutec Group Breaks Ground on Huntersville Advanced Manufacturing Facility

On Friday, Oct. 30, Mexico-based Nutec Group broke ground on its first U.S. facility in Huntersville, N.C. The 48,000 s.f. advanced manufacturing plant is slated to create 61 jobs over the next three years and will further strengthen the region’s flourishing manufacturing base.

With more than 40 years of experience, Nutec is a quality producer of high temperature insulation fibers that are used in the fire protection, metal, glass, automotive and petroleum industries.

 

The facility, a $19.2 million investment, will produce insulation materials for petrochemical, ceramic, power generation, glass and heat-treating processes.

Currently, Gray has several large projects that are underway or recently completed including: a Michelin Earthmover tire manufacturing plant in Anderson, S.C.; a Caterpillar Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, Ga.; a Siemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, N.C.; an automotive exhaust manufacturing facility for Newman Technology, Inc., in Albertville, Ala.; a manufacturing plant for ZF Transmissions in Gray Court, S.C.; and a Champion Petfoods Kitchen in Auburn, Ky.
