After receiving over 80 inquiries, Siemens, the Germany-based industrial giant, selected Gray to provide design-build services for its new 289,842 s.f. wind energy nacelle production facility in Hutchinson, Kan. Nacelles are 90-ton oblong steel structures perched atop wind turbine towers that house generators, gears and electrical systems.

- Manufacturing plant measures close to five football fields
- Structure designed for heavy loads, allowing movement of nacelles throughout building
- Project received an Award of Merit from Engineering News-Record in 2011
- Project received a National Design-Build Award in 2012
- Facility achieved LEED® Gold certification
- Siemens' first LEED® Gold certified production facility in the U.S.

- Teqton, a jointless, maintenance-free floor slab, the first of its kind in the U.S.
