Gray Construction celebrated the Volkswagen Supplier Park project in Chattanooga, TN on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 with a safety luncheon at the jobsite.  Gray Construction hosts a safety luncheon on each jobsite to show appreciation to the many subcontractors who help put safety and quality of life first. Safety is a top priority at Gray. In fact, it’s our No. 1 Core Value.

The safety luncheon celebrated 86,650 man hours with zero lost time incidents.  Approximately 80 people were fed, and attendants ranged from subcontractors to end-user tenants. It was a great time to reflect and celebrate a safe and efficient job well done by all parties involved.

Gray Construction provided design-build services to the Volkswagen Supplier Park, a 1.2 million s.f. project and is currently conducting tenant training. The suppliers located in the on-site park will assemble and sequence parts for a new mid-sized sedan using state-of-the-art technology and production. Gray obtained the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy approximately two weeks early on this project.
