Hundreds Watch Austal Launch the Joint High Speed Vessel in Alabama Saturday
On Saturday, big things were afloat at the Austal Shipyard in Mobile, Alabama as several hundred watched Retired Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth Wahlman and his daughter formally christen the Joint High Speed Vessel. Gray is proud to have been a part of construction of their facility.

On Saturday, big things were afloat at the Austal Shipyard in Mobile, Ala. as several hundred watched Retired Chief Warrant Officer Kenneth Wahlman and his daughter formally christen the Joint High Speed Vessel named “Spearhead” with the words “May God bless this ship and all who sail with her!”
Gray Construction was involved in the construction of the MMF (Modular manufacturing facility) and our staff couldn’t be prouder to see the launch.
