Gray Construction Selected to Conduct Utility Work for Tenaris Bay City

Last year, Tenaris, a leading supplier of tubes and related services for the world’s energy industry, announced it would be bringing its first seamless pipe manufacturing facility in the U.S. to Bay City, Texas. More recently, the company announced it selected Gray Construction to conduct the utility work, which includes construction of compressor and chiller buildings, chemical buildings and general utilities generation and distribution, totaling the 90,000 s.f. facility.

More recently, the company announced it selected Gray Construction to conduct the utility work, which includes construction of compressor and chiller buildings, chemical buildings and general utilities generation and distribution, totaling the 90,000 s.f. facility.

The new facility is expected to produce 600,000 tons of steel pipe and will put Tenaris closer to its customers. The project is scheduled to become operational in 2016 and will create some 600 manufacturing jobs.
