BUFFALO TRACE DISTILLERY

Frankfort, KY
Add to Favorites Remove from Favorites

Gray was chosen to design and build a new 84,267 s.f. distribution facility for Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Ky. The new warehouse features a state-of-the-art automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) that uses satellite technology to store pallets in multiple deep storage lanes. The Sazerac Company, parent company to Buffalo Trace, is the first spirits supplier in the U.S. to use ASRS technology on this project and the Glenmore Distillery, another Gray project. Due to the distillery’s status as a National Historic Landmark, the company invested additional funds to ensure the new architectural features would appropriately match the 224-year-old appearance.
