ROXUL USA, Inc. Breaks Ground in Mississippi

ROXUL USA, Inc. celebrated the groundbreaking of their new manufacturing facility on May 8th, 2013 in Marshall County, Miss. The 600,000 s.f. facility will manufacture insulation from natural stone and recycled content. The facility will employ approximately 150 workers.

ROXUL, is a subsidiary of Rockwool International, which has headquarters in Denmark. The plant will be Rockwool’s and Roxul’s first manufacturing facility in the United States.

Gray will provide manufacturing plant construction services for this project. With close to 40 years of international experience, Gray, a nationally ranked engineering, architecture and construction firm, has designed and built over 600 manufacturing facilities across the U.S. totaling more than 68 million s.f. Currently Gray has several large projects, mostly located across the South, that are underway or recently completed including: a Michelin Earthmove tire manufacturing plant in Starr, S.C.; a Caterpillar Inc. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, N.C.; a Caterpillar Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, Ga.; a Siemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, N.C.; a Whirlpool plant in Cleveland, Tenn.; and multiple projects for Austal USA in Mobile, Ala.
