NTN-Bower Corporation Breaks Ground

On July 17, 2012, NTN-Bower Corporation, a Gray customer, broke ground on a new 240,000 s.f. manufacturing facility in Macomb, Ill. Since 1965, NTN-Bower has been a major manufacturer of tapered and cylindrical roller bearings in Macomb. The expansion of the Macomb campus will add 80-125 full-time manufacturing jobs and will be located directly east of the existing NTN-Bower operations. Additional product lines will also be purchased and installed in the new plant. The facility is expected to be complete in spring 2013.

Gray, ranked 4th among the U.S. Top Green Contractors in Manufacturing Plants Construction, currently has several large projects, mostly located across the South, that are underway or recently completed including: eight projects for Volkswagen on their Chattanooga, Tenn. campus; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, North Carolina; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, Ga.; a Siemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, North Carolina; a Michelin Earthmover tire manufacturing plant in Starr, S.C.;  and a Whirlpool plant in Cleveland, Tenn.
