Michelin and Gray to Host "Diverse Suppliers" Sub-Contractors Event

Michelin North America and Gray will host an event for women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned and small disadvantaged businesses interested in sub-contracting work related to the new Michelin Earthmover tire plant in Starr, S.C. on Wednesday, June 6th, 2012 from 4:00pm-5:30pm at the Anderson County Sports & Entertainment Center. The facility, which is currently under construction, is due to be completed in the fall of 2013.

 

Officials will provide an overview of the project and hold question and answer sessions. Both Michelin and Gray are committed to working with local and diverse suppliers as sub-contractors on this project.

Registration is not required for this event.

These include eight projects for Volkswagen at the Chattanooga, Tenn. campus; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, N.C.; a Caterpillar, Inc. manufacturing facility near Athens, Ga.; a Siemens gas turbine plant in Charlotte, N.C.; a Whirlpool plant in Cleveland, Tenn.; and multiple projects for Austal USA in Mobile, Alabama.
