Flex Films (USA), Inc. Celebrates Ground Blessing

Flex Films (USA), Inc., the Global Films Business arm of the UFLEX Group, hosted a Bhoomi Poojan, a traditional Indian ground blessing ceremony, for their new 180,000 s.f. facility in Elizabethtown, Ky. on October 28, 2011. Governor Steve Beshear participated in the ceremony along with Flex Films executives, state and local officials and Gray Construction.

Flex Films (USA), Inc. is one of the world’s leading producers of plain, coated and high barrier plasma metallised specialty films and holographic materials. The company is headquartered in India and operates manufacturing plants in Dubai, Mexico, Egypt and India and is presently constructing a new facility in Poland.

The new location for Flex Films (USA), Inc. will be UFLEX’s first manufacturing plant in the USA and the first of its kind in the country. The project will occur in two phases, with the first phase expected to be operational by the end of 2012. It will create approximately 125 new jobs and involve an investment of approximately $90 million. Investment will be doubled to about $180 million and approximately 125 more jobs will be created during the second phase of the project.
