Farbest Celebrates Groundbreaking In Indiana

On August 15, 2012, Farbest Foods broke ground on a 227,000 s.f. turkey processing facility in Vincennes, Ind. State, local and company officials joined in celebrating the new facility and what it will bring to the region. Farbest reports it is investing nearly $75 million in the plant which is expected to have 360 workers when it begins production in January 2014. Farbest will also build a turkey feed mill in nearby Bruceville, Ind.

Farbest Foods, a family-owned operation since 1982, is one of the largest turkey producers in the United States. Farbest supplies more than a million pounds of raw, fresh and frozen turkey products per day to further processors who prepare and package their own brand-name foods.
