Costco Welcomes a New Distribution Warehouse in Wayne, NJ
On Thursday, October 23, 2014, Costco Wholesale Corporation opened the doors on its new retail warehouse and fuel station in Wayne, New Jersey. The 159,149 s.f. distribution center is a replacement warehouse for one of Costco’s oldest locations, which is across the street from the new facility. According to reports, plans for the old facility are in motion for further development from other retailers.

The 159,149 s.f. distribution center is a replacement warehouse for one of Costco’s oldest locations, which is across the street from the new facility. According to reports, plans for the old facility are in motion for further development from other retailers.
Costco selected Gray Construction to conduct construction management services on this facility, the eighth Costco project to date in which the companies have been partners. Construction began in late June and was completed some four months later.
Costco currently operates 665 warehouses, including 470 in the United States and Puerto Rico. The company plans to open up another seven before the end of the 2014 calendar year.
