The original goal for the 816,670 s.f. new bottling facility in Dallas, TX was to achieve a LEED Certified level. However, after they moved in to their facility and began production, Nestlé challenged both their own design, construction and production team and Gray’s design and construction team to raise the bar and go for Silver certification.
After many discussions and “what-if” modeling assignments, Nestlé was able to accumulate 34 points (33 points are required for Silver) and achieve their goal of Silver.
Nestlé Waters’ design manager, Nghia Tran and Gray’s design manager, Tom Ollinger led the effort; however, all of the Nestlé Waters’ team should be congratulated for their hard work and commitment.
