Major Renovation Helps Establish Customer's First North American Manufacturing Plant.

A collaborative effort from Gray’s regional teams provided design-build services for the renovation and expansion of the existing facility; the field team came from Gray’s Lexington, KY, headquarters; the design team from the Southeast office in Birmingham, AL; and the project team from the South Atlantic office in Charlotte, NC.

In addition to designing a large manufacturing space, Gray constructed a new compressor room, bulk foam room, quality control lab, chemical storage room, offices, and employee restrooms and break rooms. Gray also resurfaced over 950,000 s.f. of concrete throughout the facility.

Gray is proud to have partnered with Zinus on the large-scale effort to bring industry back to the area. The customer anticipates that the new operation will bring more than 800 jobs to the McDonough area.
