New Automotive Venture for a Highly Automated Facility.

Three major Japanese automotive suppliers saw an opportunity and decided to combine their resources to form Y-tec Keylex Toyotetsu Alabama (YKTA). This joint venture selected Gray to provide design-build services for a highly automated greenfield facility.

The new plant, located on a 48-acre site within the Mazda Toyota Manufacturing USA (MTMUSA) campus, produces structural body stamping and assemblies, as well as chassis parts for MTMUSA. Construction involved moving 110,0003 yards of dirt, pouring 22,0003 yards of concrete, and erecting nearly 3,000 tons of steel.
