Toyo Tire & Rubber Co. was established in Osaka, Japan, in 1945 and began its first tire sales subsidiary in 1966—Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp.

 

For the company’s first North American consumer tire manufacturing plant, the customer selected Gray to design and build a large production,
warehouse, and office complex in Bartow County, GA. for its Toyo and Nitto brand tires.

The Gray team was challenged with an aggressive schedule for the customer’s most technologically advanced manufacturing facility to date, delivering a successful project in just over a year. In the first year of the plant’s operation, Toyo Tire produced more than 2 million tires under its Toyo and Nitto brands.
