Real-Time Product Tracking.
A specialty chemical company that makes additives for driveline, engine oil, fuel, lubricant, and industrial applications needed help improving their process for international facilities.
For this project, the company had several process improvement needs. They were in search of a way to track products, in real-time, all while being able to visualize and manage quality metrics. A new manufacturing execution system (MES) was integrated to track these metrics.
In addition, the company wanted a display genealogy for finished products. After working closely with the customer to identify needed characteristics, a completely customized reporting system was then created within Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. This new system takes traceability information and seamlessly transforms it into easy-to-use reports that show both forward and reverse genealogy.
