“We are happy that we were able to find Gray. Being a family-owned company, like us, the communication has been quite simple,” said Luigi Lazzareschi, CEO of the Sofidel Group. “It started from the first meetings. They took into consideration our way of doing things, and it was a collaboration to find a solution to fit our needs.”
turning potential into production
The Ohio site was particularly attractive to Sofidel due to its close proximity to major distribution centers, skilled workforce, and reliable rail system connected to water and gas.
The new facility spans three-quarters of a mile on a 280-acre campus and includes areas for manufacturing, raw and finished material storage, shipping & receiving, and corporate offices. To withstand high temperatures generated by steam during the production process, Gray constructed the paper machining area entirely from precast concrete materials.
Once fully operational, the Circleville plant added more than 300 jobs to the region.
