Sustainable Design Produces Award-Winning Facility.

The Bernheim Arboretum and Research Forest is Kentucky’s official arboretum. The Bernheim Visitor Center selected Gray specifically to design it as a teaching facility that inspires its visitors to utilize a sustainable design facility blended with nature.

This facility was awarded LEED Platinum certification, making it the first facility in Kentucky to be given that certification. This building performs 51% better than the ASHRAE-compliant base case used to measure greenhouse gas reduction.
