Accounting Manager Aaron Alferes is celebrating his three-year anniversary with Spec Engineering this month. Aaron is responsible for managing the accounts receivable, acknowledging new orders, billing projects, and collecting on any overdue accounts. He acts as middleman between the customer and the project managers and provides financial analysis reports for the management team.
When Aaron started at Spec in 2018, there were only around 20 employees. It amazes him to how the team has grown since then, along with the number of job opportunities still available through Spec. Aaron said he really realizes the potential of what Spec has to offer when he acknowledges new, sizable orders. When asked to pick one word to describe Spec, Aaron said “exponential” – the growth with Spec has not been slow and steady, but rather exponentially quick. His most memorable experience at the company was being acquired by Gray. “It was a really exciting time for the company,” he said.
Aaron’s favorite part of working as the Accounting Manager is collaborating with the sales team and project managers on new projects. He enjoys having a direct impact and relationship with our customers. Aaron also likes that everyone feels comfortable coming to him with questions and recognizes the insight and knowledge he is able to provide about a given project. He likes being part of the team and also being able to lead in his department.
