SPEC Sponsors A Student – Chicago IFT Dinner
This month, CSIFT (Chicago Section of the Institute of Food Technologists) will invite students to their March meeting. Each month CSIFT has a dinner meeting including a cocktail hour and a dinner with presentation to follow. On March 11, Christine Carr (Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Global Communications for Griffith Laboratories) will speak about global trends and their impact on innovation in the industry. Students from IIT, Uof I, and Dominican will be able to attend a full day of events with CSIFT. There will be a panel review where students will be able to ask members of the industry questions regarding new job prospects. They will also receive help on writing their resumes and get insider networking tips, followed by an opportunity to use their skills. With a strong value in education, SPEC has decided to sponsor a student so that they can attend the day’s events, free of charge.
