Now Enrolling: Junior Engineers Camp 2022
Spec Engineering’s hands-on Junior Engineers Summer Camp is back for a fifth year this July at Spec’s brand new facility in Naperville. The Spec Engineering team and a board-certified teacher have created a unique summer camp experience specifically for kids focusing on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
Themed daily activities will include topics like pneumatics, electrical engineering, technology, chemical engineering, manufacturing, and material flow. Engineers will enhance the daily activities with real-life examples relating to their area of expertise while also incorporating safety into the lessons.
Meet the Junior Engineers Director!
This is the fifth summer that Junior Engineers Director, Stephanie Walker, will be directing and facilitating camp at Spec Engineering. Stephanie leads this camp with enthusiasm and creativity, allowing our junior engineers to hopefully extend their STEM experiences beyond what they are exposed to at school.
Stephanie is currently a junior high science teacher at a private school in Naperville, where she creates and directs the science curriculum for the school, leads the science club, and manages the school science fair. In her free time, Stephanie likes to read books and enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and three children.
2022 Camp Details
- Who: Kids entering 3rd-5th grade
- When: Monday, July 11-Friday, July 15, 9:00 am -12:00 pm
- Where: Spec Engineering, 540 Frontenac Court, Suite 180, Naperville, IL 60563
- Cost: $100 per camper, includes t-shirt
