This particular project provided some unique challenges for both the Gray and Siemens teams. The existing facility required extensive work and lacked critical elements necessary for the success of the plant.

“Gray had a good feel for what needed to be done, and it was taken care of quickly, in a cost-effective manner, and in a very satisfactory way,” says Howard Lange, Director of Building Solutions, Siemens. “The team helped us overcome obstacles, considerable obstacles, and it allowed us to bring the project in on time and under budget.”

This new space is used for a new maintenance and tooling facility to support turbine and generator field service. The low and medium bay areas provide electromechanical service related to heavy duty power generation equipment, wet and dry laboratories, as well as a warehouse. The office area includes break rooms, training rooms, conference rooms, and private offices. The relocation and build out of this new facility supports approximately 300 full-time employees.
