Gray Appears in Insights with Terry Bradshaw

The one-of-a-kind Teqton floor system was used in the new Siemens Nacelle manufacturing facility in Hutchinson, Kansas–the first use of this system in the United States. This innovative technology caught the attention of the cable television show Insights with Terry Bradshaw and Randall Vaughn, Vice President, Architecture with Gray Construction was interviewed for an upcoming episode featuring the Teqton system. The program will air on CNN, FOX, and The Discovery Channel this year. 

Teqton, a jointless, maintenance-free floor slab was installed in the Siemens Nacelle manufacturing plant, a Gray Construction project, in Hutchinson, Kan., making it the first of its kind in the U.S. The complex manufacturing plant, about the size of five football fields, is a structure designed to carry heavy loads to allow the movement of nacelles throughout the building. The Siemens manufacturing facility achieved LEED® Gold Certification and is Siemens’ first LEED® Gold certified production facility in the U.S. The facility is also the first LEED® Gold new construction/industrial site in Kansas. Gray provided architecture, engineering and construction management for the 289,842 s.f. manufacturing plant.
