Meredith is celebrating ten years with Spec Engineering, a Gray company. Serving as a project administrator for three years, operations manager for two years, and director of sales and marketing for four years, Meredith has a well-rounded view about the daily operations of Spec. In her current role as vice president of business operations, Meredith provides oversight for finance, human resources, information technology, procurement, logistics, sales, marketing, customer service, safety, and quality.
Meredith helped establish the Chicago office location, which has been integral in attracting new talent to the team along with providing a centrally located space for customers to meet in the Spec Engineering Café. She is also providing direction and coordination for Spec’s new office in Naperville, IL.
One of Meredith’s proudest moments at Spec was the teamwork the whole company demonstrated on the Kraft Heinz project that won a 2021 Manufacturing Innovation award. From her departments, the sales team quoted the project and supported the customer, the accounting team managed cashflow and project profitability, and the marketing team was vital in winning the award. True teamwork amongst departments always provides better results!
Meredith’s favorite part of her job is interacting with customers, visiting project sites, and speaking with customers about why they chose Spec for their project. She works with her teams to show them the value in building lasting relationships whether that be coworkers, customers, partners, or vendors.
When she’s not working, Meredith enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with her husband and kids.
