SPEC Engineering Hosts Bowling Night to Benefit Two Anti-Hunger Charities

OAKBROOK, Il. April 6, 2014 – SPEC Engineering hosted a charity bowling event to benefit two anti-hunger charities, Loaves and Fishes of

Naperville and IFT Feeding Tomorrow. The event took place at Pinstripes Bowling Alley in Oakbrook on Thursday, April 3 from 4PM – 6PM. The night included a bowling tournament with teams made up of SPEC employees and SPEC customers. SPEC donated $1 per pin knocked down from 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place teams.

Pinstripes bowling alley provided a spread of salad, flatbread, desserts and beverages. Each team was allowed to bowl as many games as they could between the hours of 4PM – 6PM. The teams with the top three scores of their first games were able to donate their winnings in their company’s name. Sweet Solutions of Plainfield finished in first place, followed by Rich Products of Crest Hill, and Sweetener Supply of Brookfield in third place, all three teams donated a total of $1,659 to the charities from their winning.

The night wrapped up with prizes for individuals that got the first strike, first double, first turkey, and others. By the end of the night, SPEC’s charity bowling event raised a total of $2,235 for charity.
