SPEC AND ORANGEWORKS ANNOUNCE A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO EXPAND REACH AND DELIVER LARGE PROCESS SYSTEM SOLUTIONS
Combined Capabilities Provide Both Companies the Ability to Provide Improved Service to Customers

SPEC Engineering is always looking to develop relationships with companies to increase our capabilities. SPEC developed a relationship with Orangeworks in 2015 when the two companies met and discovered many similarities with our shared turnkey solutions and “vertical startup approach”. Orangeworks coined the phrase “vertical startup” to explain their method of building production lines in house before sending it out to site. SPEC offers the same to our customers, providing complete FAT testing at our facility prior to delivery. SPEC and Orangeworks have over 75 years combined experience, and both companies consider themselves a “one-stop shop” meaning that we provide our customers comprehensive solutions, taking process line projects from concept to completion. This shared approach is at the core of the SPEC – Orangworks relationship. Being able fully assemble and test our systems in-house prior allows for a smoother installation on-site leading to decreased cost and downtime to our customers.

Located in Mill, the Netherlands, Orangeworks in an original equipment manufacturing and process design company and is a key player in the food technology industry throughout Europe. With many similarities to SPEC, partnering with Orangeworks will bring SPEC the ability to complete a wider variety of projects for our customers. In turn, with SPEC onboard, Orangeworks will be able to offer their American customers local implementation support and an American point of contact.

SPEC is eager to begin collaboration of projects together. Brian Bernard, President of SPEC Engineering, says, “Our partnership with Orangeworks will play a important role in supporting our strategy of growth within the process industry.”

Koen Verstegen, Director of Orangeworks, is equally enthusiastic about the cooperation. “I’m proud we’ve found a strong [US] partner. SPEC Engineering knows the North American market well, and we’ve got everything needed to meet that market’s demands, so we complement each other well in both commercial and technical terms,” Verstegen says.

The SPEC / Orangeworks Partnership Team will be located at the SPEC offices in Plainfield, Illinois, USA.
