AD Process Equipment Welcomes Neil O'Mara as the New Business Unit Director
AD Process Equipment, a Gray company, is pleased to announce that Neil O’Mara has joined the team as the new Business Unit Director. Neil earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with an MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management. He has more than 20 years of experience in product management, commercial operations, and aftermarket product/support services. Neil also has three patents for dye-sublimation printer technology.
With an extensive background in the Industrial and Food & Beverage markets, Neil is familiar with developing and executing growth strategies, providing value-added services to customers, and advancing product lines. Throughout the years, his career has spanned design engineering, product development, project and product management, sales, marketing, and operations, making him a great fit to lead this business unit.
As the Business Unit Director at AD Process Equipment, Neil will be responsible for the daily engineering and manufacturing operations at the Naperville, IL facility, including P&L responsibility. He will ensure the business unit is performing at its best and work with the common leadership team of Anderson Dahlen, Inc. and AD Process Equipment to strategize and enhance performance.
“I am looking forward to helping the AD Process Equipment team grow by ensuring everyone has the tools and resources they need to perform their jobs efficiently and effectively,” says Neil. “With a well-established parent company of Gray, I am optimistic about growing the manufacturing portion of Gray. Our close alignment with Anderson Dahlen will also help the team be successful.”
When asked about what was appealing about joining the AD Process Equipment team, Neil referenced how his career background really aligns with the opportunities that Gray, AD Process Equipment, and Anderson Dahlen are all striving for. “It was attractive that our parent company, Gray, is privately held and partially employee owned. Even though Gray is collectively a very large company, visiting Gray’s headquarters and AD Process Equipment’s office in Naperville felt like I was starting at a small, family-run business that truly knows and cares about all its employees.”
Growing up in Wisconsin, Neil is not a newcomer to the Midwest, and he is looking forward to being closer to family and his hometown. He enjoys traveling and eating out with his wife Amy, along with playing golf and tennis.
