JX Nippon Oil & Energy USA Inc. Breaks Ground on Expansion Facility

On Tuesday, November 11, 2014, JX Nippon Oil & Energy USA Inc. held an official groundbreaking ceremony for a 50,000 s.f. expansion to their Childersburg, Ala. facility. To meet the growing demand from their customers and for their own ENEOS brand of products, this expansion will increase the capacity of their lubricants manufacturing and warehouse operations. “ENEOS” was coined from the words “ENERGY” and “NEOS” which means NEW in Greek.

 

The expasion will create 14 new jobs by 2017 and construction will be complete by the fall of 2015.

 

JX Nippon selected Gray Construction to provide design-build services on its U.S. manufacturing facility. A portion of Gray’s services will include process equipment procurement and installation that will be utilized by the facility when the expansion becomes operational.

 

JX Nippon is based in Tokyo, Japan and has production facilities and offices in fifteen countries throughout the world. The company has business activities in refining and marketing of petroleum and petrochemical products; importing and selling of gas and coal; supply of electricity; developing, manufacturing and marketing of fuel cell, solar power generation and storage batteries.
