Gray Receives Hall of Fame Constructor Award

Gray Construction was presented the Hall of Fame Constructor Award from Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) on Thursday, March 17th, 2011. This award recognizes the contractor that has had the most positive impact on EKU’s Construction Management program. Award winner characteristics include hiring EKU students, providing outside learning opportunities (i.e. visiting job-sites) and playing an active role on the EKU advisory board. This is Gray’s second time receiving the award since the awards inaugural year in 2007.

Recent projects for Gray include a 277,000 s.f. Nacelle manufacturing facility for Siemens Energy Inc. in Hutchinson, KS; a 433,600 s.f. Gas Turbine manufacturing facility for Siemens Energy, Inc. in Charlotte, NC; a 850,000 s.f. manufacturing facility for Caterpillar, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC; a 1,000,000 s.f. manufacturing facility for Whirlpool Corporation in Cleveland, TN; and a 50,000 s.f. expansion for McCormick & Company Inc. in South Bend, IN.

Gray’s services include programming, planning, site selection, engineering, design and construction, and equipment installation services. Gray is consistently ranked among the top ten contractors in the automotive, distribution, food and beverage and manufacturing markets across the nation.
