Green Building

Resources

The era of sustainable building in the construction industry is still a fairly young one.

In just a little over 10 years, the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Building Rating System has already undergone three revisions to include new technology and additional standards to place emphasis on priorities such as energy use and carbon dioxide emissions.

Incorporating elements of LEED for new construction is a priority for Gray and the facility owners we work with.

For Gray, sustainable building isn’t just a trend that we want to be on the cutting edge of, it’s our mindset and our obligation to reduce the use of non-renewable resources and minimize the impact of construction on the environment.

Here are some links about sustainable building and USGBC LEED certification and standards that the Gray team finds useful.
