Whirlpool Cleveland, TN Project, Blue Christmas for Kids Toy Drive
Gray's Whirlpool project team, in conjunction with Fire Protection Systems, Enterprise Electrical & Mechanical, M&L, Mid-South Roofing, Bock Construction, Cooper Steel and East Tennessee Grading, raised $5,500 for the Blue Christmas for Kids toy drive in just ten days. The drive is sponsored by the Cleveland Fraternal Order of Police and funds are used to take 50 underprivileged children shopping for toys, gifts, clothing, and other much-needed items. Many of the children are victims of abuse and poverty, so having uniformed police officers taking them shopping helps them realize the police are people they can count on rather than fear. Gray participants included Joe Alford, Gary Trussell, Rebekah Gray, Bradley Opell, Harley West, Roger Fulmer, and Jena Brewer.
