Siemens Charlotte, NC Project, Childers Family Fundraiser
When Greg Thomas, the senior site manager for Gray’s Siemens project, and his team heard the story about a family in Charlotte struggling to provide medical care for their children, they responded. Bethany Childers, age 2, has cerebral palsy and William Childers, age 4, has muscular dystrophy as well as a bleeding disorder. At the first of every month, the Gray team gives the Childers family money they have collected from people on the job site. Each person has been asked to contribute $5 a week. The goal is to give the Childers family $30,000 over a period of eight months. The Siemens project team also held a luncheon on the project site for the Childers family, along with some local church members.
