Habitat for Humanity

Gray has been sponsoring and helping to build homes for Habitat for Humanity for over 20 years. Habitat for Humanity is an ecumenical Christian ministry partnering with volunteers and donors to eliminate substandard housing. Families in need achieve homeownership by purchasing simple, decent affordable homes they help build with community partners. For the 2011 project, Gray emphasized energy efficiency and sustainability by targeting this project for LEED® certification. It will be Gray's first LEED home and the first LEED for Homes registered project for Habitat in the city of Lexington. The dedication ceremony for the 2011 home was held on December 18, 2011.
