ADPE Spotlight: Jim Gratzke

Meet Jim! Jim Gratzke is a design engineer at AD Process Equipment. He celebrated his one-year anniversary at the company last month. Jim graduated from College of DuPage with an associates in manufacturing technology: drafting/design and has since then worked in manufacturing for 19 years. He has been married for 15 years and has 2 boys (Rhys (5yo) and Mace (3yo)).

Working as a design engineer, Jim gets to work on mechanical design for our machines and custom systems. His favorite part of his job is getting to see the concept turn into a reality and seeing the customer happy with the design. His most memorable experience since he started has been completing stainless steel platforms for a very large project. Jim is looking forward to becoming a more established member of the team and working towards a senior role. In one word or phrase, he described ADPE as “professional.”

Since his time at ADPE, he said the most positive change/growth he has seen is that the collaboration between team members. “Teams work together better, and positions have changed for the better,” he said. His favorite part about being a member of the ADPE team is being on a team, instead of a more solo role. When asked what he thinks sets ADPE apart from other service providers in the industry, he said, “our ability to adapt and do anything/everything.”
