WS Construction serves customers in the retail facility construction, commercial facility construction, manufacturing plant construction and institutional facility construction markets throughout Central Kentucky. WS self-performs many construction trades including site work, site utilities, concrete, steel erection, and carpentry. By performing the work ourselves, we’re able to control key aspects of every project and ensure that our quality standards, cost projections and deadlines are met.
WS also serves other general contractors in the region as a specialty contractor in its self-perform trades. Being a general contractor, we understand what is expected and are able to be a key contributor to a project’s successful planning and execution.

WS Construction formed in 1984 as Woodford Steel, Inc. specializing in commercial and industrial contracting projects throughout Central Kentucky. In 1990, the company merged with Gray Inc., the parent company of Gray Construction, Gray-I.C.E. Builders and WS Construction.
